Some truth about life which we get to know as we run the race.

We were not informed about some valid truths about life and along the way, while we thrive and run the race of life; we find out these truths and at times, we do after blaming ourselves for these mistakes and not realising early.

Here are some which you definitely will agree with and nod in affirmation to!

  • Realising making mistakes doesn't make you a failure

We have to make several decisions, some might turn out great while some might leave us downtrodden. Yet, we have to take the risk and make decisions and when we do mistakes, we end up seeing ourselves as a failure. Surely, you will make mistakes but it's not the end . You haven't failed miserably if you say a wrong thing at an interview or you arranged that stack of files wrongly! Focus on the shortcomings and work on becoming better. Understand that this moment is your learning experience and hold on to the fact that doing mistakes in your job, education, career is shaping you into becoming wiser and more great.

  • You don't know everything

Yeah! You have to realise early that at some point in life, you will need help from others. You can do some things alone but not all things. As an adult, you may feel like you are independent, you need not to ask questions or lean on the assumption that you know everything. Yet, the truth is that in order to live well and  achieve a lot; you will have to ask for help. Whether it be wisdom from your parents or advice from a mentor or a shoulder to lean on - any of these can get you out of confusing moments and make you free from being subdued by life's vicissitudes.

  •  Sometimes you may have to be dependent on your parents .

If you're living at home or your parents are rendering assistance by feeding you, you should be grateful. Do extra chores and run errands! Work hard and let them see you're responsible but do not be an idle on, get a part-time job and work towards your dream. Things will get better soon!

  • Friendships takes effort to keep.

Friendships tend to crumble sometimes even due to the things we see as little or least. When you and your college buddies separate, it may take time before you run into them and it becomes hard to see each other everyday. In the real world, you get to realise that you need to put in a special effort to keep friendships alive especially when you both have to work on pursuing a dream job or working towards career. Being five minutes far from your bestie can be strenuous but it's possible to be in touch. Plan trips on visiting each other, Skype or have regular voice calls. Don't forget to be open to new friendships for making new friends can make transitioning into adult life a lot more fun.

  • It's okay to change your mind

The path to success is different for everyone and this, you should know. When you feel the step you're taking might not turn out the way you want, step back and redecide! It's really not a bad idea to change your mind.
