Wednesday (Poetry)

I know it's dusk but from here, I won't leave!
I see the sun set and along, I fiddle the reef
My teary eyes, Smoochie watch with gloom
For all I see, a threat to my bloom
The maid she hired owns a first degree in witchcraft
Yet she struts and claims a craft
At sparrow-fart, mother egresses from home
And when it's thick darkness, she scolds
me not to roam
me not to roam
Her presence, a crime to behold
And dad's travelling business; to him, a load
The pain etched up in my heart, they see not
And my tears are like spilled milk with I, left with my lot
I'll stay here and watch the trees wriggle!
My pains Smoochie understands but it's a muggle
All day, it meows silently and rattles not
Yet in my heart, a wish to bare my wounds open to them so I don't rot!
