Wednesday (Poetry)
Nothing hurts than having someone you trust and who you would vouch for, betray you.
THE EXECUTION
Whistling wardens watch closely with face, stern.
And the wavering wind of regret whirrs,
I, unmasked after being beguiled by its wiles.
A bit of patience, it cost and nothing more.
A month and no facial care with cluster of beards on chin
Stomach rumbles, yearning to be filled.
I, an unkempt appearance with blood stains on face.
Today, I'll die. Half past twelve they say.
And this way it happened - beneath the quilts, I hear her moan
And a man's frame savouring my own pleasure
A ruffle began; the room - our battlefield as she tries to settle
She slipped, pulse stopped and pulling out the weapon , the man I shot.
Charged with a grievous crime , I'm called a murderer of two
The wiles of jealousy clutched my heart
And to its schemes, I gave in like the fool I am
Now a price to pay, to die and meet the two!
